Costa Rica government provides an online gambling license only to off-shore gaming companies which are known as a data processing license. These companies are free from any betting of gaming taxes.

Obtaining an online gambling license under the Costa Rica jurisdiction costs $15,000 and then a further $1,500 every three months in order to keep it active.
